PEOPLE in Droitwich who are ‘Making Plans for Growing Older’ can go along to a special event being held at Droitwich Community Hall, Heritage Way, from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, May 18, writes Elliot Ball.

The day is aimed at providing people with learning difficulties guidance about growing older and how they can prepare for later life.

The information day has been organised by SpeakEasyNow and St Richard’s Hospice and is supported by Worcestershire County Council.

The day will feature a variety of workshops, including one hosted by the Positive Living Options Team at Worcestershire County Council about Supported Living and how it works.

Coun Adrian Hardman, responsible for adult social care, said: “It’s important that we help support people with learning difficulties as they grow older and explain the options to them.”

Coun Hardman and his team from the Health and Social Care Trust will have three stands where people can get information about different housing options and other services available to them.
