A DROITWICH opticians is helping children to be seen clearly this winter by donating high-visibility vests to schools and brownie groups.

Staff at the store, on St Andrews Square, handed out 120 vests to Cutnall Primary School at a special assembly before doing a talk on eye health and the importance of being seen when out on the road.

The activity was organised as part of the charity Brake’s Road Safety Week.

Store director Emma Singh said: “We’re proud to sponsor this nationwide initiative that places children’s safety at the heart of its campaign.

“It’s important to think about the welfare of children when they are walking to and from school, especially during the dark evenings.

“We hope the schools and Brownie groups are happy with the vest donations.”
