Droitwich nature nursery gets funding boost for its outdoor classroom

AN DROITWICH nature nursery has received a £500 boost from a town estate agent which will help fund an outdoor classroom, writes Roman Filkin.

Mini Explorers Nature Nursery, based at Droitwich Rugby Club, was handed the cash by Nicol and Co.

Two representatives visited the nursery to hand over the cash and £400 was also collected during a fund-raising week organised by the parents.

Staff said they were ‘totally overwhelmed’ by the amounts.

Mini Explorers’ manager Leanne Wragg said: “This will make such a huge difference to our children.

“It will allow them to take a rest when needed and provide us with warmth and shelter in the winter months.

“We were very keen to have an indoor space, so that, children can still be learning in the beautiful woodland area where we are situated.”

Gemma Saddington, the nursery’s owner said the children were very excited to get into ‘The Den’ and start learning there.

Mini Explorers, Droitwich’s only outdoor nursery, has limited spaces for September.
