THE LATEST free Droitwich Messy Church takes place between 10am and midday tomorrow with the theme ‘Keeping the Peace’ in the run up to the centenary of the end of the First World War.

Among the items being made will be peace globes, poppies and heart cupcakes.

The session will be followed by a free lunch of sandwiches and cake.

Those who go along should be mindful that the session is at St Nicholas’ Church, Ombersley Road, as St Andrew’s is closed for urgent repairs.

The Revd Laura Handy said, “Our Messy Church is now in its fourth year and regularly welcomes lots of children along with parents, grandparents or carers each month.

“We are determined to keep Messy Church community going as usual during the work to make the ceiling safe at St Andrew’s.”

Children of all ages are welcome but need to be accompanied by an adult.
