Droitwich man Jack Rowley given Criminal Behaviour Order

Droitwich Editorial 4th Jul, 2018   0

A DROITWICH man with a history of committing offences in the town has been handed a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from certain areas of the town.

Magistrates granted the order for Jack Rowley, 26, from the Westlands estate following his convictions and anti-social behaviour, predominantly on the estate.

He is currently serving a six-month prison sentence after being convicted of breaching a Protection from Harassment Order, several assaults, criminal damage and a racially aggravated public order offence.

He is banned from entering the Westlands estate and entering Droitwich Spa High School.

He is also prohibited from using foul, abusive or insulting language towards others or within the hearing of others who are caused, or likely to have been caused alarm, harassment or distress.

And he cannot enter a public place with another man who cannot be named for legal reasons.

If the order is breached he could face up to five years in prison.

Rowley could be released next month and after that residents are urged to report any breach of the order.

PC Richard Rees from Droitwich Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: “Rowley’s offending and anti social behaviour has had a massive impact on the local community.

“This order will go a long way to help protect the public but police need the public to be their eyes and ears and report any sightings.”
