DROITWICH Lido has been judged to be the most family friendly outdoor pool in the UK by Waitrose magazine.
The article highlighted the wet play area, fountains and water cannons in its citation.
Coun Gerry O’Donnell, Portfolio holder for Community development, culture and sport, said:
“Droitwich Spa’s Lido is a key part of our heritage, a fantastic local facility and tourist attraction.
“It and the surrounding park offer a brilliant great value day out for all the family.
The pool is open daily with family sessions from 12.30pm to 7pm during weekdays and, as from July 14, will be open from 10am. The weekend family sessions run from 10am to 6pm throughout the season.
Swimmers wanting to put a few lengths in can take part in daily early bird swims from 6.30am to 9am from Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 9am at weekends.
Droitwich Spa Lido also offers private parties with brand new play equipment such as water zorbs, pedal boats and kayaks.
It can be hired from from 6.30pm.
