DROITWICH Heritage and Tourist Office has been presented with a complimentary copy of the newly-published Lido Guide.
The Spa town is famous for its saltwater lido which features in the book written by dedicated outdoor swimmers Emma Pusill and Janet Wilkinson.
It details around 130 outdoor pools in the UK and Channel Islands with a photograph of each one.
The publication was crowd-funded by outdoor swimming friendly organisations, including the town’s very own Friends of Droitwich Spa Lido (FODSL)
Cliff Billings from FODSL presented the book to Deborah Watkins from the heritage and tourist office.
As well as a picture of each lido, the book also provides information on location, contact details, parking, opening times, accessibility and whether the water is heated or not.
Cliff said: “The authors have visited and have had a dip in many of the pools in the book.
“They are part of a growing group of people who like to practice outdoor swimming safely.”
Copies of the book from FODSL have also been given to Droitwich Spa, Worcester county and university libraries.
Anyone wanting a copy for themselves should visit www.unbound.com for more information.
