STAFF and pupils from Dodderhill School presented Cancer Research UK with a cheque for £8,172.96 last month.
The Droitwich independent girls’ school raised the cash by taking part in Race for Life back in April.
Teacher Rachel Hatfield handed over the amount to Cancer Research UK representative Becky Wilson during a special assembly at the school.
Becky thanked the school on behalf of the charity and said that she was ‘delighted’ to attend the assembly.
Headmistress Cate Mawston also thanked everyone who took part and said: “We are extremely proud of the total amount raised, it’s fantastic.”
All cash raised by the girls will go towards the charity’s lifesaving research into all 200 types of cancer.
