YOUNG PEOPLE who have taken their GCSEs and are considering what to do next are being urged to consider an apprenticeship scheme with Droitwich-based vacuum giant Vax.
The company is launching a new apprenticeship program called the Vax Academy next month and is inviting local 16 to 18-year-olds to apply for an apprenticeship at their customer contact centre in the town.
Successful apprentices will get to work for a ‘Times Top 100 best company to work for’ employer while also receiving on-the-job training.
Vax’s structured mentoring and career progression programmes are aimed at providing continuous professional and personal development while the apprentices learn practical work-related skills and business experience.
The apprentices will also work towards an NVQ level 2 qualification in customer service in the first year with the chance to gain an NVQ level 2 in sales in the next.
