AN APPEAL has been launched by Droitwich Foodbank for volunteers for its Friday group. which meets between 2pm and 4pm (give a few minutes either side for setting up and closing).
People interested are asked to do a couple of shifts and do not have to go every Friday for the roles at the foodbank warehouse and food distribution point at the Baptist Church.
There is a friendly and sociable atmosphere but both jobs involve a lot of manual handling and lifting so people need to be relatively fit.
Volunteers are also being sought to drive the van to collect donations from various locations around Droitwich and to deliver food from the warehouse and distribution point.
At the moment the group is working in a socially distanced way in line with Government guidelines and volunteers need to wear face masks or coverings.
