A DROITWICH dog charity is seeking kind-hearted people who can provide a loving home to three Greek ‘street dogs’ who have been rescued and transported to the UK.
Jordan Bear Charity, which provides rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing for abandoned and abused Greyhounds and Lurchers, is now branching out to bring dogs from ‘Hector’s House’, a rescue centre in Crete, all the way to Droitwich.
Since February, the dogs have arrived in batches of three every ten weeks and have all been checked over and house trained before finding forever homes.
The latest arrivals are three, 16-week-old, Jack Russell cross Border Collie puppies named Barbara, Benita and Blaize.
Allan Jones, from the Jordan Bear Charity, said: “They are delightful and lovable little girls.
“Once assessed and prepared for life in a home, as part of a family, these dogs will be offered for re-homing.
“We are confident they will make a welcome and valuable addition to their new family’s lives.”
The charity is also appealing for sponsorship toward the cost of bringing in the dogs, as well as volunteers willing to sit with the dogs, talk to them and reassure them.
Donations of bedding, towels, complete dry dog food, collars, leads and bowls are also needed.
