A DROITWICH care home will be opening its doors to the public today (Friday) as part of a nationwide event.
St John’s Nursing Dementia Home will be welcoming visitors who will be able to take a look around the home and its garden and chat with residents and the team.
The event, between 2pm and 4pm, is part of National Care Home Open Day which offers people of all ages the chance to discover what life in a care home is really like.
St John’s manager Cath Sandy said the day was also a great way to dispell misconceptions and change people’s minds about what they think care homes are like.
