DROITWICH author Sheryl Browne will release her sixth book ‘The Edge of Sanity’ on Wednesday (April 30).

Sheryl is well known for her rom-com novels but this time has produced a thriller.

It explores the fragility of love, life and relationships as it tells the tale of a fractured family who have lost a child. Unknown to her parents, the family’s teenage daughter starts to go off the rails and when she meets an unsavoury character and gets caught up in a hostage situation things start to quickly go downhill.

Sheryl, who has recently completed a masters degree in creative writing at Birmingham City University, said: “I hope my fans will really like it, people who have read it so far were pleasantly surprised by the new genre which I have explored in this book.

“I’m excited for people to read it because you do pour your heart and soul into your writing – women in particular have so much to juggle in their daily lives.

“It is like your baby which is going into the world and it is going to be judged, so while it is exciting it is a bit nerve-wracking as well.”

The Edge of Sanity, published by Safkhet Publishing is available from Wednesday (April 30) at www.amazon.co.uk and on order from various book shops.
