All lanes of the M5 between Bromsgrove and Droitwich now open

HIGHWAYS England has confirmed all lanes have no reopened on the M5 between Bromsgrove and Droitwich.

There was heavy congestion earlier and delays of 90 minutes following a crash on the southbound carriageway between Junction 4a (for the M42) and Junction 5.

It has also led to delays on the M42 of up to 30 minutes.

There were two vehicles involved in the crash which happened just before 12.30pm.




West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed it sent an ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene to attend to two patients.

Both were checked over and did not need hospital treatment.
