Droitwich Editorial 20th Jan, 2017   0

RESIDENTS wanting a new challenge for the new year might want to get in touch with West Mercia Police which is recruiting Special Constables for Worcestershire.

Special Constables are unpaid, part-time police officers made up of people from all walks of life and of all ages. They work in some of the most important areas of policing, using their spare time to try and make a difference.

Although Special Constables are voluntary police officers, they have the same powers, responsibilities and uniform as regular Police Constables.

They also receive expenses for any costs incurred while they are carrying out their duties.

For more information, call the Special Constabulary Recruitment Team via email at [email protected] or telephone 01905 331395.

For more on the role and eligibility, visit www.westmercia.police.uk and click on the ‘Jobs and Opportunities’ link on the home page.
