BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid will be a keynote speaker at this year’s Worcestershire LEP (Local Education Partnership) Conference.
More than 200 delegates have already signed up to attend, the event at the Chateau Impney hotel in Droitwich at 8am next Friday (September 10).
This year’s theme is ‘World Class Worcestershire’ (#WorldClassWorcs) and Mr Javid’s presentation will precede a discussion on the benefits culture, media and sport bring to the economy.
There will be a host of other speakers, contributions from companies, specially commissioned videos from overseas business representatives and interactive features, such as live voting, a live Twitter feed and a networking lunch.
The event aims to raise the profile of Worcestershire and encourage businesses to target international markets.
Peter Pawsey, executive chair at Worcestershire LEP, said he was confident this year’s annual conference would be bigger and better than previous years and added organisers were hopeful the conference would help establish Worcestershire as a world class destination for inward investment.
