A CAR is reported to have exploded on the carriageway of the M5 northbound, yesterday (Sunday) causing extreme delays.
Firefighters from Droitwich and Bromsgrove were called to the seen between junction 4 and 5 at about 7pm causing heavy tale-backs.
An ambulance was called but was stood down as there were no reported injuries or patients requiring treatment.
The lane involved was closed off until about 9pm when traffic began to move again slowly.
