PUPILS from Westacre Middle School in Droitwich gathered today for a special Armistice Day assembly.
The children displayed 450 hand-made medals they had created with each one honouring a member of the Worcestershire Regiment who had fallen in war.
The year seven pupils read a selection of war poems they had written in their English lessons.
Westacre’s Head Boy Finley Jones and Head Girl Alexis Smith also joined Headteacher Donna Evans and Deputy Headteacher Catherine Doolin at the Remembrance Sunday commemorations in Droitwich yesterday and laid a wreath at the war memorial in Victoria Square as part of proceedings.
