GORGEOUS guinea pigs, cuddly chinchillas and big bunnies were among the host of animals visiting residents at a Droitwich care home.

The indoor animal road show, from Gloverspiece Minifarm, stopped off at Westmead Day Care on Tuesday (September 16).

Also among the animals present were a number of guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and even sheep.

Cathy Eva, 76, who has been going to the centre for five years absolutely adored the giant rabbits.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the visit – it was very relaxing and so nice to have contact with the animals.” she added.

Frank Simmonds, also 76, said: “It was absolutely smashing and I would love to have taken one of the animals home.”

Jacqui Brown, the centre’s manager, said: “Our clients absolutely loved the visit – to see the smiles on their faces as they held these gorgeous creatures was just wonderful to watch and we would definitely welcome them back.”
