Activities to get under way at Droitwich Arts Network's new creative community hub

Droitwich Editorial 25th Jun, 2021   0

ACTIVITIES are due to get under way at a new community hub in Droitwich Town Centre today.

The venture, which will be a welcoming and comforting space promoting wellbeing and creativity, is being run by Droitwich Arts Network after it gained permission from the town and district councils.

There will be a display space for local artists, crafts people, and schools, a small studio and display areas for specialist traders and artisans and hire space for meetings, classes, small music and drama performances and social events.

It was due to have a big official opening today but that formal event has been delayed until August 13 after the Government’s decision to delay further easing of Covid restrictions.

From today, small socially-distanced gatherings will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 3.30pm.

Volunteer stewards will be on site, face masks will be worn, numbers will be limited, and track and trace will be in place.
