A Christmas and new year message from the Droitwich Town Council leader

Droitwich Editorial 25th Dec, 2017   0

FOR THE last few years I have been privileged to be leader of your Town Council and as such, on behalf of that organisation, thank you all for your support and interest in making the town what it is today.

Despite the misery we have all had to endure with the High Street developments and regular motorway closures, we have suffered it together, mainly in good grace, and hopefully we are at last over the biggest hurdles.

Throughout the year the many volunteers in and around the town have continued to do sterling work supporting the festivals and civic events through their various charities and I commend them all for everything they do. The Youth Organisations deserve a special mention turning out in such numbers in not very nice weather and giving us every reason to be proud.

I would make one further request of you all, if you have an incapacitated or old or lonely neighbour do put a Christmas card through their letter box to show them that someone cares.

As we come to the end of another year I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and good health, happiness and best wishes for the New Year 2018.
