YOUNGSTERS at two Droitwich nurseries have been learning all about the Chinese New Year ahead of the celebrations this weekend.

Children at Droitwich Spa Nursery and Kindergarten learned all about the event which will be celebrated across China on Sunday (February 10).

Children created colourful art work and displays, tasted Chinese food and enjoyed musical activities with a dancing dragon.

Meanwhile, youngsters at Bright Eyes Montessori Day Nursery learned more about the Chinese culture and made large

dragons which were displayed in the hallway for children and parents to see.

The children also made hats, masks and money envelopes and enjoyed a tasty treat of sweet and sour chicken for lunch on Wednesday (February 6).
