THREE Droitwich brothers were among 24 swimmers who made a splash and raised cash for St Richard’s Hospice at a charity event on Sunday (February 3).
James Clews, 11, and his brothers Ross, nine, and eight-year-old Jake took part in the hospice’s annual Swimathon at New College on Whittington Road in Worcester. James swam more than 70 lengths in half an hour.
Community fund-raiser Sarah Patrick, said: “It was a great atmosphere and it was lovely to see everyone getting involved.
“There were youngsters who had only recently learned to swim alongside very experienced swimmers.
“We are hoping the swimathon will raise around £2,500 for St Richard’s and want to say a big thanks to all those who took part,” she added.
