Hi: 15° Lo:2° 7 day

DROITWICH residents are being urged to take a few steps to make a big difference during Fairtrade fortnight.
A series of events are being staged in the town from next Saturday (February 23) to March 9 to highlight the Fairtrade goods on offer and their benefits.
This year’s highlight will be the town’s first Fairtrade Coffee Crawl which aims to highlight the cafes, restaurants and pubs in Droitwich which support the cause.
Shoppers can pick up an arrow card from Droitwich Methodist Church during a coffee morning to launch Fairtrade fortnight next Saturday from 10am to 12midday or from the Fairtrade stall at the town’s Farmers Market on March 2.
Champion Cafes is stocking Fairtrade tea and coffee and is offering give-aways to customers carrying one of the cards during the event.
All of the arrow cards also list places throughout the town where shoppers can enjoy a Fairtrade drink and a free cookie.
