A SEVENTY-year-old man who is visiting the Salvation Army's churches and buildings in the UK and Ireland during a 7,900-mile trek stopped off at the organisation's church and charity shop in Droitwich on Monday (February 4).

Andy Peddle, who has donned a top hat and tails for the feat, is hoping to raise £100,000 to help fund the Salvation Army's work.

After arriving in the Spa, he spoke about the issues of human trafficking and homelessness, before singing the anthem 'You’ll never walk alone'.

He said: "The Salvation Army’s saying ‘Heart to God, hand to man’ has inspired me to take on this challenge."

He added it was also be a personal pilgrimage for himself.

Anyone wanting to donate to Andy's fund-raiser can visit www.justgiving.com/andy-peddle.
