RESIDENTS in Droitwich have been reminded to check their leaflets or visit Wychavon District Council’s website for information on bin collections over Christmas.

The authority’s Customer Service Centre at the town’s library will be closed from December 24 to December 27 before re-opening on December 28 from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

It will again be closed on December 29, 30 and January 1 although it will be open on New Year’s Eve (December 31) between 9.30pm and 3pm. Normal opening hours will resume on January 2.

Customer services manager, Kath Smith, said: “We do our best to provide a reasonable amount of service over the Christmas period but we have an out of hours service for emergency problems such as homelessness which operates all year round.

Visit www.wychavon.gov.uk for more information on all council services over the festive period.
