A proud moment for milliner Caroline Butcher at the opening of her shop with Droitwich mayor, Coun Anne Taft. (s)
MINCE Pies were top of the menu when Droitwich’s High Street welcomed a brand new business just in time for Christmas.
Town mayor Coun Anne Taft was among those in attendance to officially open ‘Millinery Creations by Caroline’ on December 1.
Coun Taft cut the ribbon to formally open the new premises and then made a short speech congratulating owner Caroline Butcher and wished her well with the new venture.
“Caroline’s shop brings something exciting and individual to the town centre,” said Coun Taft.
“I will definitely be a customer – I’ve always been a hat person,” she added.
Following the ceremony guests were treated to an intimate concert in the shop from Britain’s Got Talent saxophonist Julian Smith and classical soprano vocalist Amelia Whiteman.
Festive mince pies were also served as people viewed the extensive collection of hats and fascinators on display.
