Inquest opens into death of headteacher

AN INQUEST has been opened and adjourned into the death of a headteacher whose body was found in her office.

Helen Mann, 43, was found hanged at Sytchampton Endowed First School on Monday, November 5.

The mother-of-two from Fernhill Heath had been headteacher at the school near Ombersley for less than six months.

The school closed for two days following before pupils and staff returned to lessons on Thursday, November 8.

An inquest into Mrs Mann's death was opened and adjourned on Friday, November 9 awaiting reports.
