A DROITWICH teenager suffered a broken jaw and cheekbone after being viciously assaulted outside a pub in Worcester.

The 19-year-old victim was walking through the car park at the Oak Apple pub on Spetchley Road at about 8.30pm on Wednesday (October 3) when he was attacked by two men who made off in a small white van.

PC Robert Seewoosaha, who is investigating the assault, said: "This was an unprovoked and vicious attack on a young man, who needed surgery to insert metal plates where his cheekbone was broken."

The two men involved in the assault were both white. One being around 6ft tall, of a very stocky build, with dark brown hair and a beard. The other was 5ft 10ins tall and of a medium build.

"I would appeal to anyone who was in the pub on the night in question and remembers seeing the men described above, or knows who they might be from the description given, to get in touch," PC Seewoosaha added.

Anyone with any information should call PC Seewoosaha on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
