Man charged with bomb threat robbery

A MAN has been charged with a spate of robberies that include an incident in Droitwich where he allegedly threatened travel agent staff with a bomb.

Lloyd Keiran Jones, from Glynneath, Wales, has been charged with a total of six robberies and two attempted robberies at bookmakers and travel agents.

The offences took place in six police force areas – South Wales, Gwent, Dyfed Powys, West Mercia, Avon and Somerset and Gloucester - throughout September and October.

The Droitwich incident happened at the town’s Thomson’s store on Wednesday, October 10.

The 31-year-old was arrested in Wiltshire on Tuesday and taken to Cardiff for questioning.

He was due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court yesterday afternoon (Thursday)
