CARING Droitwich residents are being urged to donate unwanted school uniforms and other items and help raise cash for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The charity hopes people will bag up their unwanted items and take them to the St Andrew’s Street shop to help maintain stock during the schools’ summer break.

Janice McPherson, Acorns’ head of retail, said: “Acorns’ 54 stores will be welcoming hundreds of bargain hunters over the

holidays. We want to keep up stock levels to feed demand, during this busy period.

“Local people in every area can really help by donating quality goods, including children’s clothes and toys, ladies and men’s clothes and accessories, household items, books, CDs and DVDs.

“Even goods not resalable are welcome as they can raise funds as `rag`,” she added.
