Motorists warned about M5 works

By Rob George 21/08 Updated: 21/08 14:34

DROITWICH motorists will face delays as work on a section of central reservation between junction five and six of the M5 begins next Tuesday (August 28).

The Highways Agency is to replace safety fencing on the central reservation and in order to install the new barrier, alterations will also be required to the drainage system.

Five nights of motorway closures are expected at the start of the works in order to install narrow lanes to allow the works to take place safely and diversions will be signposted.

At least two lanes will be open to traffic during the day and one lane will be open overnight during the works which will be finished by the end of October.

For more information call the Highways Agency on 0300 123 5000.
