Hi: 14° Lo:3° 7 day

Sheryl Browne. (s)
A DROITWICH author, who was featured in The Standard when she had her first novel Recipes for Disaster published, has been awarded a three-book contract by Safkhet Publishing.
Somebody to Love, which launched on July 1, centres around a policeman and a single father and his search for love.
The book, which also features an autistic boy and his Autism Assistance Dog, has already been endorsed by Danemere
Rescue and is currently being reviewed by the Our Dog publication.
The second one, Warrant for Love, is being released on August 1.
It is a story bringing together three couples in a twisting story that resolves itself perfectly by the end.
And the third book, A Little Bit of Madness, will be launched in the new year.
The trio will all be published both in print and on Kindle.
Sheryl’s first book - Recipes for Disaster - sold more than 5,000 Kindle copies in its first week on the market and it is hoped her latest books will be given a similar reception.
Sheryl told The Standard: “When I first approached the publisher, they didn’t have an imprint for this type of book, but loved my writing style enough to commission me to write Recipes for Disaster.
“I was pretty astounded, therefore, when they did offer me the three-book contract.”
Sheryl will be doing a book signing at Bromsgrove’s Waterstones from 11am next Saturday (July 21).
The books, in print and on Kindle, can be bought online at www.safkhetpublishing.com and at www.amazon.co.uk.
