WASELEY Hills High School students performed well at the Bromsgrove District Athletics Tournament, returning from the Ryland Centre with ten medals to their names.

A total of 30 students took part in the event and played a part in winning two gold medals, seven silvers and one bronze.

Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the day with one student saying: “It was a great day racing against other schools,” whilst another declared “The weather did not bring us down, our spirits were amazing.”

Head of PE at Waseley, Mr Blount, who accompanied the students said: “The students represented the school excellently in terms of performance, enthusiasm and commitment. Congratulations to all who took part, not just those who won medals.”

Golds went to Ethan Welch and Connor Smith, Jamie Nickerson, Kian Morgan, Katie Trow, Ellie Morris, Molly Fenton, Hannah Aldritt and Callum Debar earned silvers and Will Shorrock picked up a bronze.
