BROMSGROVE & REDDITCH Athletic Club's juniors finished top of the league after some impressive performances in the third and final meeting of the McCain Young Athletes' League Division (Midlands 1C).
Winning the June 17 meeting at Brierley Hill meant the club finished top of the five clubs in their league as a number of personal bests helped secure the victory.
In the U17 track events Adam Plummer took 4th in the 100m race in 13.7s, 3rd in the 200m (26.8s, PB) and 2nd in the 400m (62.3s).
Lewis Anderson took 2nd with a PB in the 400m B race of 72.7s. Alex Rainsden took 2nd in the 1,500m A race (4.39.2) and Alistair Madando 1st in the B with a time of 4.54.6.
In the 3,000m Callum Smith achieved a PB of 10.08.9, placing him 1st. The U17 relay 4x400m took 2nd.
For the U17 women, Charlotte Tongue achieved 3rd in the 100m (14.4s). In the 300m hurdles Megan Griessel achieved a PB of 57.1, giving her the win. Another first place was clinched by Katie Plummer who ran the 1,500m in 5.32.6.
In the U15 track competition the 80m hurdles saw Andrew Pearson take 1st with a PB of 13.5s in the A race and Thomas Ellis take 1st with another PB (17.7) in the B race.
Oliver Kemp took 3rd in the 100m A (12.8) and Christian James 3rd in the B race (13.3). Danny Nicholls achieved a PB of 25s to place 2nd in the 200m, with Josh Owen gaining a PB of 28.7 and 2nd place in the B race.
In the 300m Andrew Pearson won with a PB of 41.6. The 800m saw Liam Bowden take first in 2.43.1 in the A race and Thomas Ellis take 1st in a PB of 2.51.4.
The 1,500m saw Ben O'Connor take 3rd with 5.15.4 and the 4x100m team won the relay by 0.6s.
The U15 girls saw Fran Gallagher take 3rd in the 100m A in 13.7 and Candy Lockett 1st in the B race in 14.6.
Abbie Kemp took 3rd in the 200m with a PB of 30.2, 2nd in the 800m with 2.48 and 4th in the 75m hurdles in 16.4.
Ruth Gameson won the 1,500m in 5.49.2 and the 4x100m relay team placed 2nd.
In the U13 boys competition Jack Turner achieved 2 PBs - 13.8s in the 100m A placing him 1st and 28.2 in the 200m B race to give him another 1st place.
Joshua Pearson took 1st in the 200m A with a PB of 27.9, Cameron Cooper took 4th in the 800m A race (2.43.7) and Altay Gardiner 2nd in the B race with a PB of 2.44.2.
Joshua Pearson took 1st place in the 70 hurdles in 14s, some 2.1 seconds faster than the 2nd placed athlete, and Altay Gardiner took 1st in the B race in 14.1.
With such good results in the sprints it was no surprise the 4x100m relay team won.
The U13 girls track athletes saw Lucy Harris achieve a PB in the 75m, placing her 4th in 11.2. It was another 4th place for the club with Molly Turner in the 150m A race (23.1, PB) and another through Olivia Worth (23.5, PB) in the B race.
In the 70m hurdles Molly Turner won in 13.3 (PB). The 800m saw Amy Mijovic-Couldwell take 2nd in 2.54.2 (the same time as the Worcester athlete who won) and Sarah Kennedy took 1st in the B race in 2.56.4.
In the 1,200m Olivia Worth won in 4.27.4 (PB), with Amy Tongue winning the B race in 5.05.3.
The 4x100m finished 2nd, missing out to Hereford by just 0.1 seconds.
