STUDENTS from Droitwich Spa High School are busy packing their bags ready for a trip of a lifetime when they jet off to New Zealand on Wednesday (July 11).
Six lucky year 12 students - Julia Sammons, Parissa Bagheri, Carl Thompson, Mike Wright, Josh Hale and Dan Harrison - will join Geography teacher Jenny Ruddick on the three-week adventure.
Among the packed programme of planned activities is a visit to Howick College in Auckland on New Zealand’s North Island which has played host to exchanges with Droitwich in the past.
Miss Ruddick said: “It will be a great adventure for them and something of a homecoming for me.
“There are a lot of activities planned for the students but I am also looking forward to taking them exploring in some of the places I knew as a child fifteen years ago,” she added.
