Hi: 10° Lo:4° 7 day

A GROUP of Droitwich independent businesses have teamed up to promote the merits of buying from local independent traders to try to halt the decline of High Street shopping.
A number of local businesses have created a discount scheme which is currently being offered to members of Gaudet Luce Golf Club.
Businesses which have signed up to the scheme include Deli 6, Queen Street Butchers and Salina Jewellery and all the shops involved will offer discounts from five per cent to 15 per cent to card holders.
The scheme was developed by Alec Fernihough from Gaudet Luce who said: “At Gaudet Luce we feel it’s essential that we shop locally.
“Not only are you supporting the local economy, but as a consumer you are accessing the knowledge and expertise that simply isn’t available on the internet,” he added.
