TALENTED members of Bromsgrove Gymnastics Club performed when competing for the first time in the Birmingham Friendly Gymnastics Championships Floor and Vault at Cocks Moor Leisure Centre.
After a very nervous morning, all of the gymnasts scored brilliantly with the 13 and under girls placing third overall out of the 12 teams that took part.
In the 13 and under girls individual competition, Emily Hewitt, 12, won silver, finishing second out of 64 entrants.
Andrea Paice, head coach and manager, said: “The gymnasts and coaches have been working very hard on the routines and vaults needed for the competition.
"I am so pleased that their hard work has been rewarded - it is a real boost for the club.”
The club was created in September 2009 in partnership with the North Worcestershire School Sport Partnership and Bromsgrove District Council.
Meetings take place on Saturday mornings at Meadows First School. For further information visit www.bromsgrovegymnasticsclub.co.uk, call Andrea on 07540 671196 or email bromsgrovegc@yahoo.co.uk.
