DROITWICH mayor Mike Barratt visited Specsavers in the town on Tuesday (March 20) to help raise awareness about the importance of hearing checks.

Coun Barratt had a hearing screening test during his visit to the St Andrews Square store which is designed to indicate whether a person needs a full hearing test.

His visit comes ahead of a packed day of activities tomorrow (Saturday) which will see the store raise cash for St Richard’s Hospice.

Kind-hearted staff will donate £1 for every hearing screening carried out and will also offer cleaning and adjustments to glasses in return for donations to the hospice.

Visitors will also have the chance to win a pair of designer sunglasses by entering a raffle. To make a donation visit the store or call 01905 790660.
