DROITWICH’s MP Peter Luff was among the MPs who pledged their commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day by signing a book of commitment in the House of Commons.
The book honours those who perished in the Holocaust and allowed MPs to speak out against prejudice and hatred.
And by signing the book, Mr Luff paid tribute to the individuals who survived the Holocaust and have dedicated their lives to educating younger generations about the dangers of persecution and intolerance.
Mr Luff said: “Holocaust Memorial Day marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and is an important opportunity to remember the victims of the genocide.
“It is also an important reminder for everyone to ‘speak up and speak out’ against the racism and prejudice that is still experienced today,” he added.
