A WANNABE superstar from Wychbold is hoping to swap the village’s streets for the red carpet after reaching the final stages of a competition to become Katie Price’s protégé.
Jamie Roche is one of 12 in with a chance of emulating the success of the model, also known as Jordan, after being handpicked by Katie Price and her team of judges for the Signed by Katie Price show.
Currently showing on Sky Living on Mondays at 10pm, the show follows the 26-year-old and his fellow contestants completing a series of challenges, with the winner being signed up by Black Sheep Management and getting the
opportunity to have an a-list lifestyle including red carpet appearances and photo shoots.
The landscape gardener has been doing photographic modelling for the past five years.
Among his portfolio are photoshoots in Barbados, Paris and America which also helped indulge his passion for travelling.
His current success is a far cry from his childhood dream of becoming a clown which was cruelly ruined when a friend laughed at his clown outfit.
He said: “I have always wanted to be famous but want to be known for my talent and not just famous for the sake of it.
“I’m learning so much on the show, I’ve already made some wicked friends and I’m spending alot of time only half-dressed – it’s good times!”
“When we first arrived at the house I thought is going to be a whole load of fun, but I’ve found out it’s definitely hard work at the same time, early mornings and very late nights.
“As for Katie, what a genuine caring person. Throughout the whole show she was taking our feelings into consideration at all times and she has a comedy side to her too.
“After the show I’ll definitely stay in touch with my friends from the house, and if I don’t win, I’d love to stay in the industry, get an agent and maybe have a go at writing a TV show,” he added.
Describing the Worcestershire hunk, Miss Price said: “Jamie divided the panel but ticked every box for me from the offset.
“He’s an amazing guy – professional and a general all-rounder. The girls will absolutely love him, he’s definitely a pin up
and proper fit,” she added.
