Spa squadron scoop success
Rob George 29/06YOUNGSTERS from Droitwich Air Cadets are celebrating after the squadron won five trophies at a competition at RAF Cosford. Members competed against squadrons from across Hereford and Worcestershire, Shropshire and the West Midlands and among the honours they won was the drill competition - the fourth year in a row they have scooped the honour. Spa saddened by death of newsagent

HEART-FELT tributes have been paid to a much-loved newsagent who passed away last week after serving the people of Droitwich for the last 26 years.
Shamsher Dogra, the owner of Spa News in Ombersley Street West, died suddenly at 3am last Thursday (June 18) - he was 68 years old.
Heartbroken friends, neighbours and customers were left shocked and saddened the death of a man they described as a ‘pillar of the community’.

TODDLERS at a Droitwich’s St Peter’s Pre-School, based at St Peter’s Church, turned into pirates and princesses to celebrate the arrival of their very own treasure chests.
Youngsters donned Peter Pan costumes and were handed their Bookstart pirate chests.
The three and four-year-olds were given the chests packed with books, reading information and other learning goodies as part of the national Bookstart scheme which also saw them welcome a visitor from the local library.
